Passive & Residual Income > Expenses = Freedom!

February 18, 2009

There is a growing number of people in our society who are working their lives away, 60-80 hour weeks at a time.  Big house, shiny cars, slick clothes and all kinds of cool Things!  Somewhere within the whirlwind of their lives, they hear this yearning for something more… A deeper, and more fulfilling definition of the word Rich, perhaps?

Growing up, I never bought in to the institutions which I was subjected to.  I see now, that this outlier perspective offered me the curiosity and persistence needed to question what everyone was so frantically chasing.  Some pseudo-famous lifestyle facade?   High cash-flow requirements, with hourly service professions did not seem like a definition of rich I wanted to explore.  Eventually, this led me to Kiyosaki’s game Cashflow, which solidified the power of passive residual income, for me.

In Kiyosaki’s game you break out of the “Rat Race” and into the “Fast Track” when your monthly residual cashflow is greater than your monthly expenses.  This sounded a lot more like ‘Rich’ to me!  This is what allows me to enjoy every day, hiking, snowboarding, blogging, or surfing.  Being a college student when I learn of this principal, I also realized that since I was already living on next to nothing, that I didn’t have far to go inorder to get rich!

Being in total control of my time and taking advantage of mid-week powder days all winter long…  Planning a one year business building trip in Australia, with the love of my life, in which we get comfortable surfing, and take our US based business international… To empower others to have the same kinds of freedom!  This is soul-reinforced work, and I’m glad I have the opportunity to do so.  Thank you Universe, for the abundance that surrounds us all!
